Samsung buys mSpot for all of your cloud streaming needs

Samsung Electronics' CEO said the other day that they are planning a software company acquisition, about to be revealed very soon, and here we go. The Koreans announced today that they have bought mSpot, a cloud music, radio and movie streaming service.The move is undoubtedly taking us one step further to the rumored S-Cloud, the eventual Samsung remote storage, syncing and streaming service, that allegedly got delayed for launch in the fall.

mSpot has received a bunch of awards in 2011 for its cloud streaming technology, which beats Amazon Cloud Player and Google Music in quality of streams over 3G, for example, but it also has radio and movie streaming components, so Samsung devices' entertainment services on the go will be covered.

The service offered 5GB of free storage for your tunes until now, and free lyrics, so this might be something carried over to Samsung's phones and tablets with mSpot as well. Watch a brief promo video for mSpot below.
